16 to February 19 we have in Guyana (formerly British Guyana) training of 11 Members of Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS) on Safety Management Systems Food FSSC and ISO 22000:2005.
The GNBS Guyana assist companies in implementing the FSMS system helping to increase their competitiveness, completing requirements of the world's leading food companies to ensure the safety of their products.
Thus, Guyana is one of the first countries to align with the recent adoption of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). This is a partnership comprised of food safety experts from some of the world's leading companies, retailers, manufacturers and food service companies and as providers of services related to the food supply chain.
