Vip Suitcases Model Numbers

The importance of a post

Hi all,

today's entry is not particularly happy, basically serves to announce that Justinian's dream has reached the end of the course.

In recent days the book has been disappearing gradually from the best jobs in bookstores and department stores, keeping only a few tables (some English Court of Madrid, Alcampo and little else) and this change of location of news desk at the library, marked the turning point of sales of any novel.

few days ago commented in an email with a colleague from Argentina, also a writer of novels Byzantine, the importance of the position you place a novel. Doing calculations with the decline of Byzantium, the approximate values \u200b\u200bof the first year sales were 95% of books sold in the first 2-3 months (while on the tables) and the remaining 5% is what you are selling a Once you pass the shelf (book of songs, so buy only what you explicitly go for it)

This fateful statistics show me that not only enough to publish, but if you want to put a pike in Flanders letters, you must do so with a prestigious publishing house you secure a seat in the leading bookstores and supermarkets, because beyond that the world is very, very small.

In any case I have reason to complain. After all, this moment had to come, and I can not ignore the fact that I achieved a second edition and a good increase in sales compared to my first novel, but I can not deny that I would have liked to see one or two editions.
Now is the jump across the Atlantic, so hopefully follow Justinian's dream of making war for some time. Greetings

How To Wrap Stuffed Animal

The hard part is not getting to publish but kept

Hi all,

Last week I commented on the theme of the novel that I'm busy now (the clerk's murderer) and since this is not a historical novel, it occurred to me while he killed (literally) to one of the victims people are quite wrong about the publication of novels.

There are two main topics on the head of anyone unknown to you have and you say you're a writer.

The first is that, as you say you've posted a couple of novels let you go around:
- 'You'll be covered right? "
No, the truth is no. I not only covered with two novels but collecting benefits I have not even both for a year's salary as a computer (and is not to win a bundle as a consultant)
Many people think that publishing is a kind of door to the cave of Ali Baba, and take a book to market is synonymous with rain of millions. For one example: with 10% profit on book prices without VAT (about 2 euros per copy sold) the sale of 5000 copies (1 full edition) is the author of the astronomical figure of 10,000 euros. As you can see, does not even provide for mileurista. Not to mention that it takes 2 or 3 years to write a historical novel, so those 10k are to be distributed among those years.
As you can see, is not for lined.

The second topic with which you are is to:
- Have you published? For your next novel publishers the raffle right?
It is going to be no, which is not the case.
And this point is even more frustrating than the last. After posting results still do not have anything secured, and when I say nothing is nothing. The only thing is that you guarantee your manuscript if they're going to read your editorial, instead of going to the heap. This, though not small feat, nor is it to shoot rockets, does not mean you are going to publish. If you do not like the idea, theme, plot or tell you approach kindly have reaped the green and that is not what they want, if you can write instead of Forlayos Filostros. Not that it's something personal, no. It's about business, the editorial is to make money, and even if your novel you got the prez of the literary world, if not commercial, which will publish tell Rita (the singer)
And if you happen to write something which is not in the line that you know the editorial (as happens to a server that is out of the historical novel) it's likely that your novel, written with all the enthusiasm in the world, is in a begin drawer awaiting the famous cycle to try to publish, but this time from scratch. In other publishers and agents are not impressed by the publication of a couple of novelillas, and your manuscript goes directly to the pile.

And that's the main question that sometimes drives me round the mind, now I'm writing a novel for which I have no insurance, and for which, with absolute probability, I have to start a round of submissions to publishers for if you decide to publish it.

This is not an issue that concerned hearsay. My novel 'Republic', which I consider the best of the three I've written, still in the trunk of lost causes, along with a negative cue from publishers and agents, which does not provide much encouragement for further testing out of the historical novel, but hey, you're stubborn and still unavailable to discouragement.

Anyway, I will continue with the clerk crazy to finish the novel, and then God will tell ... Greetings

Among

Hi all,

After thinking a lot about the subject of my next historical novel still hesitating. It's a bit frustrating, but all have pros and cons and there is no laying tip the scales clearly. And worst of all is that not only do not rule out possibilities but to be adding some new ones. So no way!

I have given themselves until the summer to resolve the issue. If the time comes and I have not been able to choose an option to me to play craps or high card. I guess you'd think you might have to seek advice from some friends, and I have done, with the net result of that ... I ask everyone likes a different!

Meanwhile, not to lose the thread of the literature, I have opened several fronts (as if it had little to do)

    editorial
  1. keep searching for my novel 'Republic'. Apparently there must be commercial enough for what is published now. In any case I give up, is being studied in two editorials. Anyway, I'm thinking that, if it uneventful September-October, I'll upload it as e-book from Amazon. I do not expect to sell more than a hundred, it is always better to have it circulating in the drawer.
  2. I bundled the blanket to the head with a friend and we made a proposal in Antena 3 for a crime series, which I wrote the first script. Both proposed as the first two chapters are already in the hands of the chain, although neither my friend nor I do too many illusions. The television world is a black box for us, but no harm in trying. Case of failure as a gun show and we reject (which would be more usual) pass the script to follow and novel testing. This
  3. start making scripts I came up with a script for a movie. Although I have not written I have the outline of every scene. Because we have not followed as before, then I do not know what to do with the script (and not politically correct) The alternative is, again, in passing a novel, but would have to put on the queue.
  4. Although I'm not writing much lately I've started a new novel that I have no need to investigate anything, I just go the invention as giving the key. Forty is a clerk who realizes that his life is a mess and gives you a pseudo-depression that leaves becoming murderer. It's pretty gruesome, but it keeps me active while elucidated what my next historical brick.
  5. After writing a short story for the last contest Hislibris occurred to me that the six pages of story would be a good preface for a spy novel in the post-war Paris. That prompted me to change the ending of the story with which diminishes credibility (staying out of the elect in the competition), but can start with a novel that I think might be well founded (as would ArguiƱano) Conclusion, I have written nearly twenty folios but I left it until the end of the previous one (the clerk's crazy) I am aware that start too many things only serves to disperse and not finish any.
  6. I promised a few of my nephews write a story in which they are the protagonists. I have it on the head and I wrote a couple of scenes, but can not find time for it. But as promised, and sooner or later I will have to dive into a world of elves, dragons and sobrinetes.

And these are just some of my current crossroads. I do not know if I'm so confused I'm hitting shots to all that moves, but I guess that the more options you have the easier it is one goes well. In the end, all I have is clear I dedicate this, and if I am still watching TV certainly can not.

The next week ... Greetings

novel novel and manufacture of oil in the ancient Byzantium

Hi all,

continuity with the Byzantine curio, today it's a brief overview on how to make olive oil in Byzantium.

Liquid Gold That's so typical of our table, and whose export from Andalusia and generating good income at the time of the Romans, had a rather peculiar process.

olive oil was produced in two stages. The first oil of the year (remember that one of the early Byzantine years was 1 September) was performed with immature or green olives omphakinon calls. Was produced in mid-October, and preceded the normal oil, which began to run with the remaining olive harvesting in October-November.

There were two main phases, separating the oil from the meat and remove the bitter fluid or oil amurca. In both processes was vital not to crush the bone, as it worsened the taste of the liquid.

to crush the olives was used trapetum a circular Cuba with an intermediate shaft on which it crossed a wooden beam. A beam that is mated two millstones that turned on the interior of Cuba. The wheels were off the bottom and sides of the Cuba a finger, so that was avoided and crush the bones.

Once crushed, the bone was separated from the pulp and the resulting paste was extracted oil. The pulp was pressed several times, so that with each pressing, oil was extracted. However, product quality was worse as the paste was pressed.

To perform this pressing was put the olive paste in a sort of stone basin on one side of which provided an opening allowed the oil to a deposit slip as they squeezed the pulp. After filling the container with the slurry was dropped on it a heavy stone cylinder hanging from a wooden beam. This beam was one of its sides encased in a gear on the wall, so that was fixed but allowed to move its beam up and down the other end, making the sum of the weight on the dough or pressed successive pressure.

The liquid extracted from the olive paste (about 60% by weight of the olives) was not directly oil. About two thirds of the liquid was water and impurities washed away. Only one-third extracted juice was actually oil. Finally, the liquid is left to rest in a large tank dug in the ground, where the impurities fall to the bottom, and the oil would begin to clean itself. Once considered fairly clean water is carefully poured into the tank, so that the oil floating on her back without mixing impurities in the background and went to a second tank settled for an opening at the top of the tank . Was an effective way of extracting oil and transferred to a second tank where the calm ending. There was poured into jars for sale and consumption.

And as the Byzantines had already invented it recycling, the remains of the paste is used as animal feed (usually it was a donkey pulling the press circular) while olive pits were used as fuel for the fire, as well as such modern boilers we want to sell now as the height of innovation ...

And that's it for today

Greetings
